Pennsylvania College of Technology, a special-mission affiliate of Penn State with a main campus in Williamsport and thousands of students and staff, was overwhelmed by paper-heavy processes across admissions, transcripts, student records and human resources. The college needed a reliable way to scan, store and manage large volumes of documents to improve response times and reduce physical storage burdens.

Penn College implemented Webdocs to digitize and centralize records—scanning 26 document types and 75 titles into a single electronic file for each student and digitizing HR files—giving staff desktop and remote access to records. The result: faster service from the Registrar and HR, reclaimed storage space (a 20'×30' file room), higher productivity, and plans to extend the system to financial aid.
