TPi Billing Solutions is a family-owned billing and services company founded in the 1960s with nearly 90 employees and clients in 43 states, offering billing, variable-data printing, direct mail, call-center and medical billing services. As customer expectations shifted toward online access, TPi needed a secure, flexible and scalable document management system that could index documents with many keys, restrict access by user, and be delivered via a standard web browser without forcing customers to install new software.

TPi selected HelpSystems’ Webdocs, which stores document images on iSeries/Windows servers, supports up to 10 index keys (including barcode/text extraction), integrates with a PDF splitter and scanners, and enforces user authentication. The implementation was straightforward, delivered superior performance under load, enabled easy web demonstrations for prospects, became a marketable service feature, and helped TPi expand offerings while maintaining document security and scalability.
