National Farmers Insurance (National Farmers Union Property and Casualty Company) is a values-driven insurer serving farming communities that needed faster, more accurate ways to handle claims, retrieve policy documents, and provide agents and third‑party vendors secure access to System i data. The challenge was to deliver browser‑based access to images and policy information, automate notifications, and support public-facing tools without exposing complex backend systems.

Using SEQUEL with its ViewPoint and Web Interface, National Farmers built browser‑based views, reports and scripts to present indexed document images, a public agent lookup map, automated claim e‑mail notifications, and XML feeds for outside vendors. The solution was implemented quickly, saved users significant time, streamlined claims handling and document retrieval, and enabled secure, efficient data access for agents and partners.
