Fortna developed an integrated operations design and retrofitted the existing facility with velocity-based storage, dynamic pick cells, a value-added services area, a round-robin packing area, a shipping sorter, and FortnaWCS™ warehouse control software. The result was a 312% increase in picking productivity, orders fulfilled in hours instead of days, over 97% accuracy, and a 30% reduction in operating expense, with ROI achieved in 1.5 years—six months ahead of plan.
