Amadeus Hospitality, the hotel IT arm of Amadeus that supports thousands of hotels worldwide, faced repeated security breaches, virus-driven outages and slow remote maintenance via ISDN lines. With sensitive guest and staff data at stake and an aging firewall that couldn’t keep pace with evolving threats, the company needed a high-performance, easily managed security platform that could adapt to future demands and meet strict SLAs.

Amadeus chose a Fortinet solution—deploying clustered FortiGate-1000A and FortiGate-400A appliances at headquarters and 150 FortiGate-50B/60B units at hotels, plus FortiAnalyzer for centralized logging and reporting—to deliver integrated firewall, IPS, antivirus, web filtering and VPN connectivity. The rollout was completed quickly, reduced administration overhead, enabled remote monitoring and faster trouble‑shooting, and led to fewer security incidents while allowing Amadeus and its hotel customers to meet service commitments.
