Eurosport, the leading European TV sports network broadcasting in 20 languages to over 130 million homes, needed to secure a distributed environment of more than 1,000 employees across 17 countries on three continents. The company sought to replace aging Check Point, Juniper firewalls and Aruba wireless access points with a converged wired and wireless solution that would improve security for BYOD, provide SSL VPN access, simplify management and lower total cost of ownership.

Eurosport deployed Fortinet’s integrated stack—FortiGate clusters (100C, 200B, 80C/110C), FortiAP access points, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer—to centralize control, logging and reporting. The rollout consolidated wired and wireless resources, reduced costs, increased throughput and security, and gave IT a single-pane management view for simpler policy control so Eurosport can focus on delivering sports content.
