Case Study: GPS Hospitality achieves rapid, secure network rollout and centralized management with Fortinet

A Fortinet Case Study

Preview of the GPS Hospitality Case Study

Secure Networking, Deployed Fast, Supports Rapid Growth for Quick-service Restaurant Group

GPS Hospitality, a rapidly growing franchisee operating Burger King, Popeye’s and Pizza Hut restaurants across multiple states, needed a scalable, secure IT approach to support hundreds of dispersed locations. The company faced a mix of disparate firewalls and technologies from acquisitions, making centralized management, PCI compliance, and consistent rollouts difficult as it expanded.

Working with HonorBuilt, GPS Hospitality standardized on a Fortinet architecture (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer and FortiMail) managed centrally through the Fabric Management Center. The deployment enabled VLAN failover, simplified global updates and compliance reporting, eliminated a separate compliance tool, and allowed HonorBuilt to deploy the new secure network to 200 restaurants in two months—supporting GPS Hospitality’s expansion to 486 locations and dramatically improving operational efficiency.
