Rexdale Healthcare Centre strengthens patient data protection and secures off-site users with Fortinet

Rexdale Healthcare Centre, a community healthcare center in Ontario, Canada, needed to ensure uninterrupted service delivery while protecting sensitive patient data. They required a robust and continuously improving security infrastructure. To address this challenge, they worked with Fortinet and initially deployed FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls and FortiToken for multi-factor authentication.

Fortinet implemented its Unified SASE solution, FortiSASE, to secure web, cloud, and application access for the center's hybrid workforce. This was complemented by a rollout of FortiAP wireless access points. The solution from Fortinet provided improved cybersecurity, centralized network management, and cost-effective scalability. This resulted in an enhanced security posture, extra protection for sensitive patient records, and improved control over all devices, including those used off-site.
