A Fortinet Case Study
The Public Ministry of Mato Grosso (MPMT) is the state justice body serving 2,400 staff across a vast, sparsely populated region of Brazil with 75 remote prosecutors’ offices. Because many offices had unreliable internet, no unified network or visibility, and handled highly sensitive legal data, MPMT struggled to deliver services, secure communications, and manage devices centrally.
MPMT deployed the Fortinet Security Fabric—including FortiGate NGFWs with Secure SD-WAN, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWeb, FortiClient, and FortiSandbox—across all 75 locations in under three months. The rollout created a consolidated, centrally managed network with closed VPNs, real-time threat alerts (from an environment seeing ~150M attacks/month), secure remote access for ~400 new laptops, and improved speed, reliability, and control of infrastructure and applications.
