A Fortinet Case Study

Preview of the KAN Group Case Study

Polish Manufacturer Enhances Quality of Service for Customers and Staff with Increased Network Performance, Reliability, and Security

KAN Group (KAN-therm) is a Poland‑based manufacturer founded in 1990 with more than 1,000 employees and operations across 20 locations in Europe. Rapid, organic growth left the company with fragmented IT and OT systems, limited network visibility, a costly MPLS‑centric design and an overstretched VPN, causing poor application performance, security risk, and frustrated staff.

KAN Group deployed the Fortinet Security Fabric — Secure SD‑WAN, FortiGate NGFWs, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiClient (rolled out to ~600 remote users), FortiEDR and centralized management/analytics — replacing MPLS with redundant broadband and secure SD‑WAN. The integrated solution improved performance and reliability, reduced communications and administration costs, increased visibility and security (enabling IT/OT segmentation), lowered support calls, and boosted customer and employee satisfaction.
