Pague Menos, Brazil’s second‑largest pharmacy chain with about 1,600 stores and 25,000+ employees, faced a critical network bottleneck as it scaled—limited MPLS bandwidth (64 Kbps), dependence on a few ISPs, and slow satellite backups prevented rollout of new digital services, real‑time apps, and expansion plans. Pague Menos partnered with Fortinet and Network Secure to deploy Secure SD‑WAN built on FortiGate NGFWs and complemented by FortiAP, FortiADC, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. The solution converged security and communications, provided secure in‑store Wi‑Fi and centralized management, and enabled about 60 new real‑time digital services while delivering high availability and data confidentiality across ~1,600 stores—creating a scalable platform that supports ongoing expansion and improved customer experience.
