A Fortinet Case Study
Credinka is a Peruvian micro‑finance company serving rural and remote communities with 70 agencies and about 1,200 users. Its highly distributed footprint and challenging geography left many branches with unreliable connectivity—80% of sites experienced repeated outages and overall availability sat at about 60%—so the company needed a secure, resilient communications network that could deliver real‑time services across the country.
Credinka partnered with Fortinet and deployed Fortinet Secure SD‑WAN on FortiGate (leveraging existing NGFWs) to orchestrate dual carrier links and embed security across sites. The move increased network availability to 99.5%, eliminated frequent interruptions, improved visibility and threat monitoring, and established a repeatable secure‑SD‑WAN blueprint now applied to every new location to ensure business continuity and consistent service.
