Network Access Control Helps Bridgestone Firestone’s Credit Division Ensure Compliance

Credit First National Association (CFNA), the credit-card arm of Bridgestone Retail Operations, needed to secure customer and employee data while meeting OCC regulations. After their legacy network access control (NAC) failed a penetration test—allowing an auditor access in under ten minutes—CFNA sought a new solution that would prevent rogue devices, increase visibility, enforce policies, and provide easy, largely invisible remediation for users.

CFNA deployed Fortinet’s NAC in days, immediately blocking unauthorized connections, authenticating all users, and giving administrators detailed visibility at the switch-port level. The new system ensured continuous compliance, cut help-desk calls by 75%, reduced network administration from up to two hours a day to less than two hours a week, and passed subsequent penetration tests—restoring confidence that the network and customer data are protected.
