Nationwide MSP Bolsters Services With Secure SD-WAN and More Robust Security Tools

TPx Communications, a nationwide MSP serving more than 30,000 businesses, needed to strengthen and simplify its managed security and networking offerings after expanding through acquisition. Many of its small-to-midsize customers lacked in-house IT and security expertise, and TPx faced operational complexity and higher costs from managing SD‑WAN and next‑generation firewall (NGFW) solutions separately.

TPx rebuilt its managed services around Fortinet—consolidating FortiGate NGFW, Fortinet Secure SD‑WAN, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAP/FortiSwitch and FortiGuard UTP—while centralizing operations in two SOCs and requiring Fortinet NSE certification for staff. The integrated solution lowered customer costs, improved security posture and reporting, streamlined management and troubleshooting, and is expected to boost average revenue per order; TPx has also launched an MDR service to further enhance detection and response.
