A Fortinet Case Study
Delsea Regional School District, a public 7–12 district in Gloucester County, New Jersey serving about 1,700 students, had embraced technology and expansive STEM programs but found its legacy security infrastructure unable to keep up. Rapid growth in connected devices led to throughput limits, unreliability, rising maintenance costs and increasing pressure to protect students, filter harmful content, and meet CIPA requirements.
The district implemented a Fortinet stack—centered on a FortiGate 1500D with FortiAnalyzer, FortiSandbox, FortiMail, FortiClient, FortiCamera, switches and FortiGuard services—using the Fortinet Security Fabric for centralized policy management and full SSL inspection. The solution delivered single-pane visibility and multi-vector, real-time protection (including endpoint coverage for 1:1 Chromebooks), streamlined CIPA compliance, improved performance and proactive defense against zero-day and ransomware threats, giving administrators greater control and peace of mind.
