A Fortinet Case Study
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) needed to modernize its network to support heavy internal and patient use, meet the government’s digital-service goals, and improve guest wireless and security across hundreds of sites. Legacy MPLS and internet links were overloaded, limiting speed, visibility, and the ability to scale while protecting sensitive health data.
Fortinet Professional Services designed and deployed a Secure SD-WAN solution—including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiWiFi and FortiExtender appliances—across MOHAP’s data center and 16 major sites (with rollout to 160 locations underway). The new architecture increased speed and resilience, improved network visibility and automated troubleshooting, enabled load balancing and rapid expansion (20+ sites added in a week during COVID‑19), and boosted customer satisfaction while aligning MOHAP with the UAE’s digital objectives.
