Mexican Technology Company Secures 1,000 Service Stations With Fortinet Secure SD-WAN

ATIO® is a Mexican technology company (founded 1994) that provides hardware and cloud-based software for fuel automation and control, with its ControlGAS® solution in nearly 5,000 service stations. Faced with increasing regulatory reporting requirements and widespread lack of IT security and reliable connectivity at stations—issues that risked operations, inventory visibility and fraud detection—ATIO needed a scalable way to secure networks and ensure always-on communications.

ATIO implemented Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and Secure SD-Branch (with FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer) across 1,000 stations, delivering automatic link failover, perimeter security at each site, centralized management and real-time visibility. The rollout reduced onsite troubleshooting, improved transaction reliability and reporting, enabled faster policy deployment, and created a scalable architecture ATIO can extend to its full estate while maintaining continuous, secure operations.
