Mexican Automotive Parts Wholesaler Converges Network and Security Infrastructure with the Fortinet Platform

Grupo Morsa de México is one of the country’s largest automotive parts wholesalers, operating 19 distribution centers and a B2B e-commerce platform (Morsa Click) that handles about 300,000 products and generates nearly 7,000 daily orders — 94% of the company’s sales. Rapid digital growth exposed weaknesses in connectivity and security: slow browsing, Wi‑Fi outages in warehouses, lack of standardized equipment and visibility, and time‑consuming manual access provisioning that took the IT team about 40 minutes per executive.

Grupo Morsa implemented the Fortinet Security Fabric — including FortiGate NGFW (on‑prem and in AWS), Secure SD‑WAN, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiClient, FortiAnalyzer and FortiSandbox — to converge networking and security. The deployment improved stability and connection speeds, delivered full warehouse Wi‑Fi for mobile barcode readers, centralized management of ~300 devices and 1,200+ endpoints, cut executive access time to under five minutes, and created a resilient, scalable platform that supports the company’s e‑commerce operations and planned expansion.
