Marina Developments Limited (MDL Marinas) is a leading UK and European marina operator with 20 major sites, an extended cruising network and hundreds of third‑party users. Faced with aging equipment, limited visibility into its IT estate, security risks from multiple external users and a small IT team, MDL needed a future‑facing, SD‑WAN‑ready infrastructure to improve monitoring, segregation and perimeter protection.

Working with Fortinet, MDL deployed a suite including FortiGate firewalls, FortiAuthenticator, FortiAPs, FortiExtenders, FortiSwitches and FortiAnalyzer to centralise identity, connectivity and security management.
