Manitoba First Nations SchoolNet secures 48 locations with Fortinet

Manitoba First Nations SchoolNet (MFNS), an ICT services provider for First Nations schools run by the Keewatin Tribal Council, faced the challenge of securing its 48 widespread school locations on a tight budget. They needed a robust, easy-to-deploy network security solution to close the digital connectivity gap safely. They turned to Fortinet for a solution.

With support from FortiCare, MFNS deployed centrally managed FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls across all schools, along with Fortinet LAN switching and access points. This provided standardized, cost-effective protection from attacks, malware, and cyberbullying. Fortinet's solution enabled secure wireless access, reduced the need for on-site technical support, and helped MFNS scale its services to increase digital inclusion across the community.
