Case Study: SFR Business achieves unified, scalable end-to-end managed security with Fortinet

A Fortinet Case Study

Preview of the SFR Business Case Study

Leading telco provider selects Fortinet’s technology as the cornerstone of its enterprise managed security services

SFR Business Team, the largest alternative fixed-and-mobile operator in the French business market after the SFR/Neuf Cegetel merger, sought to expand into hosted managed security services for enterprises. Their challenge was to deliver end-to-end protection for corporate networks and fixed/mobile users with a unified, scalable platform that simplified deployment and maintenance and could manage thousands of customers with strong VPN and virtualization capabilities.

SFR chose Fortinet’s platform—FortiGate appliances (including two FortiGate‑5140 chassis virtualized over twelve FortiGate‑5001 blades), FortiClient endpoints, and FortiAnalyzer—plus dedicated FortiGate units for large accounts to provide firewall, IPSec/SSL VPN, antivirus, IPS, web filtering, anti‑spam, DMZ and redundancy. The solution powers SFR’s SIS managed security services for 9Connect and 9ipnet clients, enabling multi-customer management from a single hardware platform, isolated customer environments, and consolidated, end‑to‑end security with reduced complexity.
