Case Study: Maratá achieves stable, secure connectivity and centralized network visibility with Fortinet LAN Edge

A Fortinet Case Study

Preview of the Maratá Case Study

Largest Brazilian Food and Beverage Company Improves Connectivity and Availability With Fortinet LAN Edge Solution

Maratá, a major Brazilian food and beverage company with multiple factories and offices and roughly 5,000 employees, faced unreliable wireless coverage in warehouses that disrupted digital inventory scanning, limited network visibility from an open‑source firewall, and a single MPLS‑dependent ERP connection that created a group‑wide availability risk.

Working with a local partner, Maratá deployed a Fortinet LAN Edge solution—FortiSwitch and FortiAP managed by FortiGate NGFWs—migrated to FortiGate firewalls, implemented Fortinet Secure SD‑WAN and redundant links while moving ERP to Google Cloud, and added FortiAnalyzer for real‑time threat detection. The result was stable, site‑wide Wi‑Fi and uninterrupted scanning, centralized visibility and management, fewer outages and less IT overtime, and improved security and availability for business applications.
