A Fortinet Case Study

Fortinet Provides Improved Security—and Confidence— for Bank and Its Customers

Southern Bank, a financial-services firm in Mount Olive, NC, needed to reassure customers that their money was safe while facing a fast-changing threat landscape. Limited visibility into network traffic and evolving external and internal threats left the bank concerned about undetected incidents and the potential impact on customer trust.

The bank deployed Fortinet FortiGate next‑generation firewalls and moved much of its infrastructure into a Fortinet DMZ, gaining clearer visibility into external, internal, and third‑party traffic. Improved alerting and the ability to monitor and block risky employee activity helped detect incidents that were previously missed, strengthening the bank’s security posture and customer confidence.
