Case Study: FCC Environment CEE achieves improved network performance and resilience with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN

A Fortinet Case Study

Preview of the FCC Environment Case Study

European Leader in Sustainable Waste Management Enhances Service Efficiency with Secure SD-WAN

FCC Environment CEE, a leading sustainable waste-management provider in Central and Southeast Europe, needed to modernize networking across ~200 sites after rapid growth and acquisitions left it with a fragmented, multi-vendor MPLS environment. The hub-and-spoke design and growing use of cloud services like Office 365 caused latency, poor visibility, and slow troubleshooting, while local internet breakouts raised concerns about security and resilience.

The company deployed Fortinet Secure SD‑WAN (FortiGate NGFW with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiExtender) to consolidate networking and security, enable safe local internet breakouts, and add wireless failover. Centralized, automated management improved visibility and troubleshooting, enhanced threat detection and NIS2 reporting, increased performance and continuity, and cut administrative effort by at least 15%.
