A Fortinet Case Study
DP World Tour, the professional golf tour staging up to 47 tournaments across 27 countries, set out to digitally transform events into a “connected” and ultimately “intelligent” course while delivering a repeatable Tournament‑as‑a‑Service. That shift—driven by massive IoT and media data flows, a predominantly cloud operating model, and a distributed, on‑the‑move workforce—created new security vulnerabilities and a need for zero‑trust access, visibility and consistent event delivery with a smaller operational footprint.
The Tour implemented the Fortinet Security Fabric—including FortiGate NGFWs, FortiExtender, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient (500+ licenses), FortiMail (550 devices) and FortiPhish—deployed across HQs, regional sites, the cloud and preconfigured event kits. The solution provided centralized management, real‑time analytics, secure remote access and phishing training, improving workforce agility, hardening data protection, enabling consistent Tournament‑as‑a‑Service delivery and creating a scalable, secure foundation for the intelligent course.
