Danish Regional TV Station Deploys New Network Architecture for Increased Security and Simplified Administration

TV2 ØST (TV2 East) is a regional arm of Denmark’s TV2 network, serving local audiences from Vordingborg with around 100 staff. Facing complex broadcast traffic (high-bandwidth, low-latency and proprietary protocols), rising advanced threats, and a small IT team, the station needed stronger security and simpler administration without compromising performance.

TV2 East deployed a Fortinet stack—FortiGate NGFWs for high-performance inspection, FortiSwitch and FortiAP for wired/wireless access, and centralized management with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer using FortiLink. The integrated Security Fabric increased data-center throughput and application performance, improved threat resilience and traffic segmentation, and reduced the support burden through unified visibility, automation and streamlined administration—letting the team do more with the same resources.
