Colombian BPO Company Increases the Availability and Security of Their VPN Networks with FortiGSLB Cloud

Americas Business Process Services (BPS) is a Colombian BPO founded in 2003 that supports ~50 clients from sectors like healthcare, banking, and government with 5,000 staff across four cities. Faced with legacy security gaps, complex manual administration, and an urgent need to scale secure remote access during the COVID-19 shift to telework, the company needed a more available, manageable, and resilient VPN and perimeter-security solution.

BPS migrated to Fortinet—deploying FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiGSLB Cloud and FortiClient EMS—consolidating multiple VPN appliances into a smaller, higher‑performance cluster and adding DNS‑based global load balancing and centralized visibility. The SaaS-based deployment scaled fast, supported ~3,000 remote workstations (2,200+ concurrent), improved security and stability, automated failover, reduced IT time on security tasks, and maintained application availability and data privacy.
