A Fortinet Case Study
The City of Centerville, a small Ohio municipality, faced the challenge of protecting its data and maintaining city systems with a collection of aging and disconnected networking and security products. To achieve best practices, the city worked with vendor Fortinet to replace its infrastructure with a best-in-class alternative.
Fortinet implemented a solution featuring FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls and FortiSwitch secure Ethernet switches, which were integrated into the Fortinet Security Fabric. This solution was centrally managed with FortiManager, and their MSSP utilized FortiSOAR for automated monitoring. According to the case study, Fortinet's solution resulted in fewer security issues than neighboring communities, a lower total cost of ownership, almost 100% network uptime, and positioned the city as a model in cybersecurity.
