Canadian Data Management Company Achieves High Availability and Security with FortiSASE and Fortinet Cloud Consulting Services

ZEMA Global Data Corp., a Canadian data‑management company with more than 25 years’ experience supporting utilities and commodities, provides the ZEMA end‑to‑end data platform. With over 90% of staff working remotely and a web‑facing infrastructure, ZEMA faced significant cybersecurity risks (DDoS, ransomware, phishing) and suffered availability problems from an SSL VPN tied to a single firewall, creating a single point of failure and exposing routing information.

Working with Fortinet Cloud Consulting Services, ZEMA deployed FortiSASE in four phases and integrated it with FortiGate NGFW and Fortinet Secure SD‑WAN to deliver highly available entry points, secure dynamic routing, modified split tunneling and unified threat protection.
