Zilor Energy and Food is a 76-year-old Brazilian multinational in agribusiness and natural ingredients with ~3,500 employees and operations across Brazil, the United States and Belgium. In 2020 the company needed a simpler, integrated information-protection plan after prior complex, ineffective tools left it with almost no network visibility (one shared firewall) and unreliable remote and site connectivity.

Working with partner Safetyware, Zilor deployed the Fortinet Security Fabric—including FortiGate NGFWs at each site, Secure SD‑WAN, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager, FortiNAC, FortiAnalyzer and endpoint/authentication tools—to centralize management and secure wired and wireless access. The result was consolidated network and security on a single platform, complete visibility from a central location, high availability through automatic SD‑WAN failover, faster deployments and lower integration costs, enabling consistent protection and simpler scalability across all sites.
