Beltelecom Relies on High-Performance Security Solutions

Beltelecom, Belarus’s largest telecommunications operator with about 18,000 employees and a broad portfolio of services, needed to meet new 2013 national network-security regulations while consolidating business-process stability and protecting confidential information. Management also wanted to expand customer offerings (such as a Parental Control web-filtering service) without compromising security or scalability.

Following a tender, Beltelecom deployed Fortinet solutions—chosen for compliance with TP 2013/027/BY and for NGFW, antivirus, DLP, SIEM, IPS and web‑filtering capabilities—across its data transfer and processing networks (2013–2015), using FortiGate chassis and appliances plus FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer, with partner Solidex training staff. The implementation delivered centralized, scalable management and high-performance protection for confidential data, reduced incidents and downtime amid growing attacks, optimized IT infrastructure, and enabled new revenue-generating services.
