Autodesk, a leading provider of design and software solutions, needed a scalable and secure way to support its cloud expansion on AWS while extending its internal data centers. The company wanted a cloud security model that could protect north-south traffic and keep east-west inter-VPC traffic low-latency as it built device- and location-agnostic cloud services, using Fortinet’s adaptive cloud security.

Fortinet implemented FortiGate VM firewalls and a Cloud Security Services Hub in each region to secure traffic across Amazon VPCs and maintain a consistent security posture across Autodesk’s on-premises and cloud environments. The result was a scalable, secure VPC architecture that helped Autodesk address business needs more quickly and effectively while improving consistency and minimizing latency.
