Australian Infrastructure Developer Centralizes LAN Device Management with FortiLAN Cloud

Wagner Corporation, a family-owned infrastructure developer in Queensland behind projects like Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport and Pinkenba Wharf, needed to connect and secure a new 1,000-bed accommodation precinct while meeting critical national infrastructure cybersecurity requirements. The challenge was scale: hundreds of switches and access points across segmented guest and corporate LANs, plus identified gaps in endpoint detection and response, required a single, scalable management plane and stronger automated security.

Wagner deployed Fortinet’s FortiLAN Cloud to centrally manage 340 FortiSwitches and 845 FortiAPs, backed by two FortiGate NGFWs and integrated services including FortiSandbox, FortiEDR with MDR, FortiAuthenticator, FortiClient, and FortiConnect. The result was high-quality networking at scale delivered on time, major time savings from single-pane management, improved visibility and automation of security operations, and a platform Wagner can extend to other sites.
