Argentinian Fuel Company Supports Connectivity for 43 Service Stations with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN

Raízen, a joint venture operating Argentina’s largest privately owned refinery and more than 800 service stations, faced growing connectivity challenges as station operations, payments, and surveillance became internet-dependent. Many sites lacked redundant links and were in locations where secondary connections were hard to obtain, so the company needed a secure, reliable, and easy-to-manage platform to support its digital transformation and omnichannel goals.

Raízen deployed FortiGate NGFWs, Fortinet Secure SD-WAN across 43 service stations, and FortiExtender 4G backups to create a converged, redundant network. The solution delivers automatic failover and unified management, achieving over 99% availability, reducing onsite support visits, simplifying troubleshooting and policy changes, and enabling secure electronic payments and new customer services while providing a scalable foundation for future expansion.
