AA Insurance, a New Zealand financial services company with more than 500 staff, needed enterprise-grade Wi‑Fi to support BYOD, guest and contractor access, and roaming managers — all without increasing operational overhead or compromising security. Their goal was fast, reliable, full‑coverage connectivity across six sites with remote management and visibility into web and application usage.

Working with Vodafone and systems integrator Optinet, AA deployed a Fortinet solution (FortiGate‑280D‑PoE as gateway/controller and FortiAP‑320B access points) on Vodafone Broadband, using FortiPlanner for AP placement and centralized management. The result was secure, trouble‑free Wi‑Fi with complete coverage, simplified operations and real‑time usage visibility — reinforcing AA’s digital leadership and daily use by staff, guests and contractors.
