Case Study: Charlotte FC achieves unified, always-on stadium and remote security with Fortinet Unified SASE

A Fortinet Case Study

Preview of the Charlotte FC Case Study

Charlotte Football Club Uses Unified SASE to Protect All Ramparts of Its Fortress, On-Premises and Remote

Tepper Sports & Entertainment, owner of Charlotte FC and the Carolina Panthers, needed to protect Bank of America Stadium, its offsite training facilities, and a distributed workforce that includes scouts carrying sensitive intellectual property. A multivendor environment, limited visibility into web traffic and IoT devices, and the requirement to meet NFL/MLS security standards made securing remote users and stadium operations complex and risky.

The company standardized on Fortinet Unified SASE—deploying FortiSASE, FortiGate NGFWs, Secure SD‑WAN, FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer and FortiCare services—rolling out HA firewalls, a SASE pilot and plans for FortiGate VMs in Azure. The deployment delivered always‑on protection for about 500 users, stronger IP and DLP controls, unified visibility and faster incident response, plus reduced training and simpler in‑house management across on‑prem, cloud and remote environments.
