Fortinet Infrastructure Helps Recovery Centers of America Achieve Its Goal of Saving 1 Million Lives

Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is a nationwide addiction-treatment provider with 12 inpatient and outpatient facilities and nearly 3,000 endpoints whose mission is to save one million lives. RCA needed a stable, secure network to ensure 24/7 patient monitoring, strict HIPAA-compliant data protection, and controls to limit patient internet access, while replacing aging firewalls and reducing complexity and vendor costs so a small internal team could manage infrastructure.

RCA deployed Fortinet solutions—FortiGate Next‑Generation Firewalls with Secure SD‑WAN, FortiClient EMS, FortiNAC, FortiAnalyzer and pilots of FortiSwitch/FortiAP—centralizing management and improving visibility. The rollout eliminated MPLS, enabled bandwidth shaping and granular user controls, improved threat detection and response, reduced reliance on external managed services, and is projected to save about $2 million over three years while freeing resources to extend care to more patients.
