Roper Mountain Science Center engages thousands of visitors with formula D_

The Roper Mountain Science Center in Greenville, South Carolina, needed a series of permanent, localized interactive exhibits for its new Environmental Science and Sustainability Building. Their challenge was to create engaging exhibits that would teach thousands of annual visitors, particularly children, about topics like recycling, wastewater treatment, and local ecosystems. To meet this need, the center selected and worked with vendor formula D_ to customize exhibits from its product catalogue.

formula D_ provided a solution by localizing several interactive exhibits to reflect the South Carolina region's specific environmental concerns. The implemented exhibits included the Biodiversity 3D exhibit, the Waste Wall with a barcode scanner, the collaborative Water Wall touch projection, the 3D Cityscape Energy Exhibit, and an Interactive Visitor Orientation Map. This approach resulted in highly engaging and educational exhibits that successfully teach children about sustainability by connecting the lessons directly to their own local environment and community.
