Vinnova digitizes 5,000 annual applications with Formpipe

Vinnova, Sweden's innovation authority, faced the challenge of efficiently managing approximately 5,000 annual applications for its SEK 3 billion in innovation grants. The process involved 80 case officers and required a secure, digital infrastructure to handle complex projects and protected data. To transform into a modern, efficient authority, Vinnova partnered with vendor Formpipe and implemented its Platina solution as a document and case management system.

Formpipe's Platina product became the central hub for Vinnova's digital process, integrating with other systems and allowing for custom functionality like automated validations. This solution eliminated manual errors and bottlenecks, making work more efficient for case officers. The implementation helped Vinnova achieve its objective of becoming a digitized authority, providing a smoother experience for applicants and staff, and successfully distributing grants to around 1,500 projects each year.
