HSC Pediatric Center (Hospital for Sick Children) in Washington, D.C., part of the HSC Health Care System, faced a growing problem with more than 100 paper, preprinted forms: copies degraded into illegible documents, multiple conflicting versions circulated, and the manual process created legal and operational risk while costing the hospital a dedicated $80,000 a year. Staff also struggled to find forms across departments, slowing workflow and hindering the organization’s move to electronic processes.

HSC partnered with Anthelio and FormFast to deploy a server-based forms repository and Form Designer, converting paper forms into centrally stored, on-demand electronic templates with version control and role-based access. After targeted training and standardized naming, about 300 users access and print forms as needed, improving readability and consistency, streamlining workflows, and eliminating the $80,000 annual preprinted-forms budget.
