Garden City Hospital Achieves New Level of Automation with FormFast

Garden City Hospital, a 323-bed Prime Healthcare provider serving metropolitan Detroit, needed to move beyond its already paperless environment to eliminate repetitive, error-prone manual tasks and reduce clicks across the enterprise. Although the hospital was using FormFast output management, the rollout of Siemens Soarian presented an opportunity to fully automate form generation, printing and archiving with a simple, user-friendly workflow.

FormFast and Soarian implemented an autolaunch integration so staff can launch Web FormImprint from Soarian Clinicals, select patient-specific forms or packets that automatically print to local printers, and archive records via patient barcodes. Used by 800–1,000 people daily, the solution sped registration, cut administrative burden, improved patient-data accuracy, allowed printing during HIS downtime, simplified creation of new forms, and freed clinicians to focus more on patient care.
