Food Bank Uses FormAssembly to Distribute Goods During COVID-19

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank used FormAssembly to support a surge in community requests during a large-scale health crisis. The organization already relied on Salesforce and web forms to manage volunteer efforts, food distribution, and community assistance, but it needed a faster way to adapt its intake and service processes for homebound and at-risk residents.

Using FormAssembly’s online forms, the Food Bank implemented an online reservation system for food delivery and a hotline form for staff to collect assistance requests. The internal form created new contact records and opened up to six reservation service records for each individual or household, helping staff monitor data in Salesforce while reducing extra training, coding, and processing work. During the crisis, the Food Bank completed 31 drive-up distributions and served 3,269 individual food recipients, while distributing 10 million+ pounds of food to the community.
