Build It Green, a nonprofit that runs public programs to incentivize greener homes in California, needed a better way to support its Energy Network Multifamily Program. Its earlier Salesforce setup lacked UI flexibility, data quality, and user-friendly forms, and property owners and raters were unable to easily see status, update records, or prefill information.

Build It Green implemented FormAssembly with Salesforce Communities to let owners and energy efficiency raters update, create, and collaborate on the same records through embedded forms. FormAssembly also supported record security, formula fields, and smart logic, helping Build It Green launch six embedded forms on July 1, 2016; in the first 7 weeks, the team saw over 100 logins by 11 enrolled energy raters and 31 full submissions tied to 15 large-scale apartment building energy efficiency upgrades.
