Big Shoulders Fund Sees Exponential Growth of Scholarship Programming with FormAssembly

Big Shoulders Fund, the largest K-12 scholarship organization in Chicago, needed to replace paper scholarship applications and manual data entry with a digital process. The team also wanted to integrate scholar data into Salesforce without buying additional Salesforce licenses.

Using FormAssembly and Salesforce, Big Shoulders Fund moved from paper forms and Excel spreadsheets to automated scholarship workflows with the Salesforce Connector and post-submit processing. The change helped drive 93% growth in scholarship funds requested, increased applications from roughly 3,000 in the 2017/2018 school year to over 15,000 the next year, and supported emergency COVID-19 scholarship applications that received more than 1,000 applications requesting over $1.2M in funding.
