Norwich School is a co-educational independent day school in Norwich serving about 1,050 students and 250 staff across multiple buildings. The IT team needed a network access control (NAC) solution to boost visibility of devices, enforce endpoint compliance and mitigate potential security breaches on a busy, mixed-use network.

After a trial the school selected ForeScout CounterACT for its ease of use, seamless integration (no network changes) and flexible policy engine. Deployed in summer 2014, CounterACT delivered real-time device and user visibility, faster troubleshooting by identifying which devices are on which switch ports, enforcement of AV/patch compliance, blocking of P2P and malware activity, and integration with Aerohive wireless—saving time and reducing data‑protection risk.
