Northwest Regional Data Center - Customer Case Study

Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC), an FSU-affiliated provider in Tallahassee serving 120 Florida public-sector entities from city governments to K‑12 and higher education, faced widespread gaps in network visibility, asset management, endpoint compliance and network access control. Risk assessments showed organizations lacked reliable ways to see who and what was on their networks, meet regulatory requirements (FERPA, HIPAA, PCI, etc.), and affordably manage security across diverse environments.

NWRDC launched Visibility as a Service (VaaS) in partnership with ForeScout, an agentless, subscription-based platform that rapidly discovers devices, identifies users and posture, automates remediation, and integrates with CMDBs and other security tools. Customers immediately found many previously unknown devices, improved asset inventories and compliance, sped incident response, and reduced costs by shifting to an Opex model—delivering broader protection and operational efficiencies across the public sector.
