A Ford AV Case Study
The University of Texas at El Paso partnered with Ford AV to outfit its new Chemistry and Computer Science Building, a 150,186-square-foot facility designed to bring together two departments from two colleges and support more collaborative, technology-enabled teaching and learning. The challenge was to equip a wide range of spaces with modern AV systems that would serve conference rooms, classrooms, teaching labs, digital signage areas, and an immersive space.
Ford AV implemented integrated conference room AV and videoconferencing, custom lecterns, audio and video projection systems, control systems, interactive annotation displays, digital signage with multiview video, and touchpanel-controlled immersive technology. The result was a highly connected academic environment that supports collaboration, advanced instruction, and flexible communication across the building, though no specific quantitative impact was provided in the case study.
