Spelman College, a member of the largest consortium of historically black institutions of higher learning in the world, outgrew its science building and needed to expand and modernize its science center. The college chose Ford AV to integrate a new state-of-the-art audio/video system for the classrooms, labs, lecture hall, and distance learning room.

Ford AV delivered a custom AV solution featuring touchpanel control systems, multiple LCD projectors and monitors, a CODEC video conferencing unit, and specialized lecture hall and distance learning room technology. The result was a flexible, high-performance learning environment with mirror projection, annotation capabilities, camera presets tied to microphone use, and support for both in-person and distance education instruction.
