Mt. Rushmore National Park worked to modernize its outdoor amphitheater and park presentation spaces, needing a system for regular presentations, background music throughout the park, and automated interpretive theater experiences. Ford AV provided the AV solution, including weather-resistant tower speakers, LCD projection, stereo audio, control automation, and automation for the indoor theaters.

Ford AV implemented an outdoor amphitheater system with tower speaker clusters and delay, plus two fully automated interpretive theaters and later upgraded the site with HDTV capability. The upgrade added a higher-resolution projector, MPEG-based high-definition playback, Dolby 5.1 surround sound, a custom removable center cluster, and touch panel control, improving the visitor audio-visual experience across the park.
