Lazarus, a Federated Department Stores brand, needed a new audio visual and point-of-sale advertising program for two newly opened stores in Columbus, Ohio. Ford AV was brought in to help create a store-wide system that could support background music, paging, and in-store promotional communications across multiple areas of the stores.
Ford AV implemented five integrated systems, including distributed television, RF television distribution, 24 plasma displays, Media Matrix, and Fire Fly, along with more than 200 ceiling speakers and over 100 wall speakers. The solution extended into dressing rooms, waiting areas, employee lunch rooms, and customer service areas, giving Lazarus a flexible in-store media platform that Federated planned to roll out to additional stores.
